The Story I Promised You
Suamiku,
Long before the rings bound us, I once promised that I would write something for you.
And in truth, I already did.
Not in a blog, but in the form of a little storybook that we will someday read as a bedtime tale for our children.
Suamiku,
Let me write another post for you.
As the night slowly fades into a warm morning, I find myself wondering:
What is the meaning of this temporary distance?
Perhaps this is God’s way of giving us the space to learn and grow.
A path we chose together, with the same hopes and dreams.
Suamiku,
may I be a little sad?
Because I know it is your warmth that carries me into restful sleep.
It is your playful mischief that wakes me with laughter (and sometimes with a little anger).
Because of you, I’ve learned that being a wife is not always easy,
but with you, I feel we can face and overcome anything, together.
Dear God,
Let us believe that Your way is always the most beautiful one.
Let us keep moving forward, keep finding joy, even when our bodies are apart.
Let time be gentle, and bring us together again, soon.
Suamiku,
Thank you for seeing me as a diamond, precious and irreplaceable.
Thank you for giving me a safe space to simply be myself.
Thank you for reminding me every day that I am loved and never alone.
Let us keep going, becoming the best for ourselves, and for each other.
